About Steve McGrane
Steve McGrane has over 20 years of management experience in hospital IT and Supply Chain, and now provides deep consulting expertise in IT strategy, sourcing, contracting, and cost reduction to our clients.
Steve started his career in the IT department of a major academic medical center as a software developer and later took on various leadership roles within IT, including managing Epic implementation and support. He subsequently worked at one of the largest Midwest health systems for several years, first in IT leadership positions and then the last 6 years in Supply Chain, where he was top negotiator, saving the system over $50M. He has continued that success as a consultant, saving his clients millions of dollars. Steve believes in “planting trees” with clients, leaving them with sustainable processes and practices that they can grow.
Background
Steve graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Economics and Political Science and has an MBA from Mount Mercy University. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, hiking, kickboxing, and Iowa Hawkeye games with his wife and boys. One of his goals is to hike trails in every national park.
