About Brent Bolton
Brent brings more than 25 years of supply chain, operations, and clinical laboratory leadership, helping health systems improve margins and delivering more than $250M in cost reductions.
Brent helps hospitals and health systems improve margins through supply chain optimization, clinical utilization, and sustainable operational improvement. Over his 25+ year career, he has supported more than 1,000 hospitals and overseen or influenced more than $1B in clinical lab spend, delivering more than $250M in cost reductions. His expertise spans strategic sourcing, clinical test utilization, vendor negotiations, and value analysis, including more than $60M in value from test optimization. Brent takes a methodical, data-driven approach that combines operational improvement with physician and stakeholder alignment to improve resource utilization, deliver measurable results, and sustain margin improvement.
Background
Before joining Pathstone, Brent spent more than 12 years at Accumen, where he served as VP/GM of Supply Chain and Laboratory Stewardship with full P&L accountability. He built and led teams focused on health system margin improvement, achieving an 85% client renewal rate across his business units. Earlier in his career at AMETEK, Brent led manufacturing operations, materials management, global sourcing, and supplier quality.
Brent holds an MBA from Point Loma Nazarene University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and adjunct faculty at San Diego State University, where he teaches Supply Chain and Operations coursework. Outside of work, you can find Brent running or hiking on a trail in San Diego, or spending time camping with his wife and two children.
