About Phillip Niemeier
Phillip brings 15+ years of healthcare consulting experience and a proven record of driving significant non-labor and purchased services savings for large health systems and aggregation groups.
As a Director at Pathstone Partners, Phillip advises health systems on strategies to reduce non-labor spend. He works with a broad range of healthcare organizations including large academic medical centers, national health systems, regional networks, and aggregation groups, helping clients unlock value that goes well beyond price.
Phillip’s expertise covers the full spectrum of non-labor spend, including supply chain, purchased services, revenue cycle, pharmacy, and information technology. He is known for building trusted relationships with health system executives and senior stakeholders, and for developing strategies that align with each client’s unique goals and priorities.
Prior to joining Pathstone Partners, Phillip held senior consulting roles where he delivered hundreds of millions of dollars in confirmed savings across engagements with health systems throughout the country, consistently exceeding client expectations and driving long-term value.
Background
Phillip holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BS in Accounting with a Minor in Chemistry from Butler University. He is also a Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) through the American Hospital Association.
Before moving into consulting, Phillip worked as an EMT at a Level 1 Trauma Center. That firsthand clinical experience gives him a grounded perspective on how healthcare operations affect patient care and informs the work he does with health system clients today.
He lives in Zionsville, IN with his wife and three kids. Outside of work, you will find Phillip cheering on the Colts, Pacers, and Hoosiers as a proud Indiana sports fan.
